Evaluation: How effective is the combination of your main products and ancillary tasks?



The next thing I've looked at when looking into how effective my media products are is synergy, this is the way I am going to be selling my product through the use of different mediums. The poster and review page are the two of my products in which I need to market to get the attention of my target audience. The poster will be displayed in public areas that are going to be seen my target audience, as well as the general public as it may appeal to them also. The main purpose of a film poster and review page are to promote the film as best as possible, they need to make people to see it and want to watch the film. I made both of my media texts simple as the public don't want to see a poster thats hard to get the point of as they are walking past it. You want to see something that is giving a clear message, once you have seen it you will remember it and be able to search up the film. Due to my poster and review page having similarities between the two people will be able to see that they are about the same film even at a glance, or if they see one after the after they will remember seeing them and make the link that they are promoting the same film.

I like the three ways in which I have promoted my film, however this is how major films are promoted. Meaning that I would promote my film in this way if I had the budget for it however as I've made an independent film is meaning that I don't have the money to promote my film in this way. The main way in which I will be promoting my film is through the use of social media meaning that I will create a twitter, Instagram and Facebook page for my film, all of which are free. My film review page is going to be shown in magazines with the poster shown on the front page of the magazine giving people an insight into the film. The film magazine that I want my review page to be featured in is Empire, there is not a direct film magazine that my target audience would read. However teenagers spend half their lives online and on social media and Empire have there own website meaning that while promoting my film on social media I can also add the link to the website with the review on meaning that they will be able to read it online.
